These Corning milk glass set of 8 bread and butter plates were manufactured in the 1960s for the WT Grant company, which had about 1,200 department stores throughout the United States. Sadly the company went out of business in 1976.

At some of the department stores they had a luncheonette called The Skillet.

These plates were made specifically for their lunch counters.

Corning milk glass material with brown skillet pattern along the sides.

Measuring 6 and 3/4 inches wide, by 1/2 inch in height.

The plates are in good vintage condition, with some light utensil markings typical of plates of this age.

The brown skillet decoration is not super glossy due to some years of restaurant usage.
